I contacted them regarding the continuation of care for my father who was a long term acute hospital care patient. The lawyer Rebecca played phone tag as my family and I were between the hospital and home. Then they switched to someone named Tom, because of “gender” issues. Again, that had nothing to do with the illness and medical legal needs of my father. Tom was rude and did not provide any assistance whatsoever. He only criticized me even though my father’s health insurance, Medicare stated clearly that medical malpractice had happened. Please avoid these people with all costs, they have no sincere care for any seniors in this state, nor their families.

Having a hard time getting in touch with the person assigned to my case. I have emailed him and provided all documents that were requested of me and have heard nothing back. I was denied reasonable accommodations and only have a year to file a complaint. My year is up in October and I’ve been seeking help since May of this year. This is super frustrating and not the first time I’ve had difficulty using these services.

Was told to ge there ti get help with rent assistance and health insurance issues. Was told I needed to give them the standard info to pass along did it more than three times, was told after not hearing from them for 2 weeks that I needed to get the info again, Robin Marable was then assigned to my case after the previous paralegal suddenly dissapeared. Was then told that the info was needed again. Robin would not accommodate my disability so I would need to mail everything in. It has now been a full month since I sent the info. Only to be called on a friday after business hours that they never recieved this vital info. I am disgusted with the lack of care or precision. The issue was never resolved. Legal NY has caused me more issues than when I initially went to them. Neglectful and disingenuous.

I have waited since December, 2017 in order to acquire assistance – it is now August, 2018 – and all I wanted was a Power of Attorney – and all they do is play games, and rob senior citizens by demanding money – they never answer their phone when one calls them – what the heck are they doing during the work hours?? I called them and told them never to contact me again – they send me a letter – so obviously they do NOT listen – so please consider going to a REAL lawyer and not these liars and crooks. Thank you! and good riddance to them!

I was having a housing issue due to surgery concerning section 8, it took a bit but they are very responsive problems solved paperwork almost complete. They even helped me with another issue concerning unemployment very responsive great results

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This place is a joke. I needed legal assistance with my case. I paid all rent but the landlord was refusing to fix anything. And instead of helping me they sent me a rejection letter instead of reviewing my case. Michelle is one of the worst lawyers to ever get involved with. Rochester is still at its worst.

Critical: Responsiveness
I went to the bankruptcy class almost a year ago and I am low income my life is in such turmoil I hv reached out through the months to the agency I may hv gotten one or two returned calls I understand that some people’s situation may b bigger than mines but my situation to m is just as big and as important I cm to legal aid society and was made to believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel well the light has completely went out for me I’m asking for help that’s all to take care of my bankruptcy problem
