I could not be happier with the work and effort that Mrs. Lynette did to successfully resolve my case. I initially consulted with a few well known prestigious law firms. During their consultations, each law firm gave me the impression that my case was an easy win for them, and required a large retention fee up front. After hearing the same sales pitch with a few more law firms, I was eventually referred to Mrs. Lynette. During my first consultation, she gave me great advice and was completely honest with me to the point where she refused to accept any payment until she was actually able to do something to help me out. Unlike the other law firms who told me what I wanted to hear so that I could pay them right away, Mrs. Lynette was very straight up with me. That made me trust her, and eventually when my case was ready to be worked, I reached out to her. I was amazed at how hard she worked to go above and beyond to assist me. She was very easy to get in touch with, and responded to my emails promptly. I felt like I had a close relative working my case who genuinely cared about helping me. Her knowledge and experience in federal sector labor laws, combined with her great attention to detail made me very happy and lucky that I had an attorney like her defending me.

I was referred to Ms. Whitfield by another attorney because she is an expert in the field of dealing with issues with the OPM. I was having trouble receiving my husband’s federal pension after his death and Ms. Whitfield went above and beyond in resolving the issues surrounding the pension. During the course of our relationship Ms. Whitfield always kept me informed and we developed a wonderful attorney/client rapport. I would highly recommended Ms. Whitfield to anyone having issues with the Federal government.

“In 2015 I unexpectedly entered a season of life where I had a series of multiple, serious, life-threatening health issues. In the last four years, I had 19 surgical procedures, and too many hospitalizations, medical tests and medications to count. Through it all, I fought hard to maintain my federal employment. However, in 2018 I officially lost my position. My proficiency and competency were questioned when I knew the only issue was my illnesses, not my skillset. I was angry, embarrassed, depressed and my confidence was at an all-time low. Years earlier I earned my masters and doctorate degrees and completed a post-doctoral fellowship. Now, I was lying in a hospital bed, terminated from my federal position. I could not help but stare at my final SF-50. It noted my “removal” and “5 U.S.C. 75. Adverse actions.” The remarks section of the form (item 45) stated “failure to maintain work schedule & unacceptable performance.” I knew that the only reason I was not at work was due to my health. My work evaluations had always been in the top tier during the annual performance appraisal period. I frequently received awards (i.e. time off, bonuses, and certificates). I just wasn’t able to work due to my illnesses. This wasn’t fair! I was devastated.

My case was particularly convoluted, and after bouncing around other attorneys, Ms Whitfield saved my case. She communicated quite effectively, managing my expectations while keeping me positive. I would not have been able to navigate all the red tape on my own.
