Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueYou might as well get a public defender if you decided to go with this law firm. No papers have been sent to me, no refund at all. It was hard to even talk to martens or his partner about my case. Their staff would tell me wrong information. I have been yelled at and mistreated from this law firm. Martins does not keep his word. Brusseau will be late for your meetings and kick you out when your time is up tho the meeting is short. Martens will run out of the office so he doesn’t have to speak to you as promised. You have to act as a lawyer when speaking to Brusseau. Don’t expect to have evidence showed at all. Expect to be called a liar when complaining about being mistreated and having untrue statements. You have to keep calling them and asking for a meeting you will get rejected multiple times. The new law firm I have chosen has given me what I need and has been helping me. I am only glad that this law firm introduced me to her because I went out of my way to find her since she was the only one in this law firm who was able to help. The girls in the office always make mistakes and give incorrect information. I was told by my lawyer that I didnt have to show up to the first court date. Called to confirmed with office assistants and they told me I had to go and even called me the day before and said I had to go. My lawyer didnt show up and I had to go in by myself. Ive never been in any legal situation which was the main reason I hired a lawyer so I would have support the entire way through. I left crying and very overwhlemed! There is always zero communication, I often had no idea what was going on with my case and seemed like neither did my lawyer.I called in to make a payment two days ago gave a new card number and they charged the wrong card which resulted in a fee on my account, I called today to have it fixed. The girl said she would talk to Mr. Martens and hung up on me. We all make mistakes but thats incredibly unprofessional to hang up on someone and this was not the first time that has happened since I hired this firm.I asked to speak with Mr. Martens (on multiple occasions throughout my case) about all the issues I have been having and was told they would talk to him for me. (I never once heard back from Mr. Martens) I understand they are extremely busy and I am not the only case they have but I paid money for a service I wish my concerns were acknowledged.I feel like I paid all this money for nothing. I knew hiring a lawyer would more than likely not change the outcome of my case but I made it clear from the begining that I was hiring them to help walk me through my case and court. Thankful that I was only dealing with a small legal issue, to think what I would be going through with a larger case is unsettlingThis firm may work out for some but did not for me. If you do choose to hire them, I recommend writing down every conversation you have and who you spoke with. Also keep track of your payments. I was told by my lawyer that I didnt have to show up to the first court date.
