I originally filed my SSD case in January 2013. I, of course, was denied so my attorney referred me over to Ms. Whitten and her team for the appeals process. I interviewed with her(my hubby was present as well) and she agreed to take my case. There was a lot of paperwork to do and much info needing to be gathered. Her staff worked with me every step of the way. My case was a difficult one but she never gave up. She followed through and kept me in the loop via her staff. Any time I called or emailed, the staff was friendly and courteous. Long story short, I was finally approved for Social Security Disability in Sept 2021. That’s 8 1/2 years. Ms. Whitten fought for my case. She persevered through it all and never waivered. I highly recommend Ms. Whitten and her team. I would not have received my benefits without them. I cannot thank them enough.

I never really felt like a client, more like an inconvenience. Anytime I would call to ask if they needed anything else from me, doctor wise, they would get upset and tell me, ” WE WILL CALL YOU!” And after almost 2 years of waiting, they dropped me 2 WEEKS before my disability hearing because they didn’t like the judge we would have to face. So naturally, I got turned down and I’ve been drowning in medical debt ever since because of my condition:(

I had been referred by lots of people to this law firm during such a difficult time in my life,, I became ill in 2018 and I was no longer able to work I fought countless claims trying to obtain disability and was denied,, it gets so overwhelming when your trying to fight health issues only to know it’s not gonna get better but worse. After agreeing to take my case in 2017 and having my file for nearly two years, Ms. Whitten recently withdrew as my attorney two months prior to my hearing date because she did not think she could win the case. Never once did I actually meet with Ms. Whitten. I was interviewed originally by someone I was told was her husband. The only communication I had with her firm was when I called to check on the status of my case. Think twice before you hire her.

I contacted Miss Whittens office for my SSI claim. She took me on as a client, and my case went all the way to a judge. The week prior was the first time I ever spoke to Miss Whitten and all she said was “think about what you are going to say”. The hearing came around and due to covid it was over the phone. Miss Whitten spoke maybe ten words on my behalf. About 3 weeks later the findings came out and there were atleast a dozen discrepancies in them. I tried to call Miss Whitten multiple times with ZERO return calls. Finally a lady took my call and informed me that Miss Whitten was no longer my attorney. I then had to jump through hoops to figure out the next step in the process (appeals board) but I ran out of time because Miss Whitten failed to inform the SSA that she was no longer my attorney.

Not only did she lie on everything, from much diagnoses dates, changing it from 2018 from 2008. She used none of the information from my Psychiatrist, who is my diagnosing doctor. Nor my hospital records, including on suicide attempts (the ER nurse did not believe me because “I had no marks”,) this was because I stopped and told my family. She did not at all right for disability for me because I am “intelligent and well spoken. But the biggest thing was changing all the dates on my medical records.
