EIN is a Tax ID number necessary for opening a U.S. business bank account, filing taxes, hiring employees, getting a business credit card, applying for business licenses, and complying with the IRS. All banks require an EIN to open a business bank account. It’s a requirement to get an EIN to start a business, open a U.S. bank account, open Stripe and Amazon account, get a business credit card, and comply with the IRS. You will routinely be asked for your EIN by financial institutions such as the bank, and occasionally by other businesses and vendors. ITIN Service
ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number) is a personal Tax ID number issued by the IRS to individuals who are required to have a tax ID number but who do not have have a Social Security Number (SSN). ITIN is a requirement for ALL non-U.S. citizens when you’re opening a U.S. bank account or filing tax return. Anyone who doesn’t have an SSN but can’t get an SSN (because SSN typically requires legal right to work in the U.S.) can ask the IRS for an ITIN, which you can use instead of an SSN.
