I attended the ballistic shield class late in June. The material was on target for the challenges we face today. I wished I had the opportunity to attend a full day shield class earlier in my career. I have a a shield in my patrol car for decades and I have received only limited training. This class prepared me to use my shield and it has given me tactical options that I had not previously practiced. I plan to have all of our patrol staff take this class as staffing allows. In the mean time I will set up in-house training so my department will have the basics. Thank you OpTempo!

I attended the Pistol Foundations Course yesterday. Ben and Chris did a phenomenal job. I’ve sat through a ton of military and law enforcement classes back in the day (6 years in the Marines and 2 years as a cop–a long time ago) and Ben especially is a fantastic instructor. He has a really great demeanor and exuded confidence and patience. Content and programming was also perfect for your audience, which included folks who have never handled a weapon before. It was also a great course for me because it has been so long. Rehashing the basic fundamentals for me was great because there are always at least a few nuggets that I can pull out and learn from.
