I called the law firm of Orange County business lawyers early last week to see if I could hire the attorney to collect a debt that was not being paid back to me. The gentleman that answered the phone, Mr. Bennett told me that the primary attorney there would not take my case because at $14,000, it just wouldn’t be fair to me; wouldn’t make financial sense if I really worked it through and did the math. He then made it painfully clear that he was only staff and couldn’t offer legal advice but suggested I look into small claims court.
