Positive: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueIn response to the review posted by Jan Irwin, she did connect with our office but delayed in getting us the requested referral information. The case was NOT turned down due to the Medicaid status of the client, as 95% of our cases are Medicaid recipients, but rather because this case would have been a pro bono case and our pro bono caseload is at capacity with a waiting list. I could not bump someone from the waiting list to accept Ms. Irwin’s client. That would have been unfair to those waiting and unethical. We carry an extraordinarily high number of pro bono cases compared to other agencies but, sadly, we cannot accept every client referred to our office. Like all businesses, money is required to keep a business going and sometimes tough decisions need to be made. We always attempt to refer elsewhere if we are unable to accept a case.In response to the review posted by Jan Irwin, she did connect with our office but delayed in getting us the requested referral information. Unable to reach anyone for weeks, then the referral was turned down because it’s a person needing a guardian but she’s on Medicaid.
