Queen City Estate Sales was phenomenal throughout the entire process. They helped my Aunt sell her entire estate while, she was occupying the home, which made it more challenging. They were able to spend time properly pricing, and advertising the estate sale in order to squeeze every penny out of the estate. They took a challenging situation dealing with many people that all had different agendas from the home owner, to retailer, to moving company, friends of the owner and out of state family members running the household. They were nothing but professional from start to finish. They left the house in spotless condition and went above and beyond communicating with all involved parties. When we were looking for someone to do an estate sale for us, we attended one of Queen City Estate Sales to see how they were run. The owner, John had no idea who we were. We liked what we saw! We asked Queen City Estate Sales to do a sale for us. We found them to be very professional, and respectful of our time and property. John, the owner was very prompt and showed up when he promised. He took pride in examining, and researching some of the rare items we had, to know the best price for each item. . He did a very good job cleaning up, and worked with us on our schedule. I cannot say enough about my experience with Queen City Estate Sales. I hired Queen City to help with liquidating and disposing of the contents of my childhood home prior to its sale. It was a difficult time in my life and at the outset the task seemed overwhelming. Queen City and its owner, John Jacobs, made the process so smooth. The attention to detail and execution were so impressive. The contents were staged beautifully which not only produced a great financial result but was also comforting. I knew my parents would be so pleased to have seen the care taken with the furniture and items they collected over 55 years. John communicates at every stage and is very thorough and transparent about the results of the sale and the disposal of items remaining following the sale. Queen City Estate Sales did an incredible job putting together our estate sale. John (owner) and his team far exceeded expectations by cleaning, organizing, pricing, and expertly staging a house with 50-plus years of belongings for what turned out to be an incredibly successful sale. This sale was managed remotely, and Queen City constantly kept us in the loop while going through the property and running the sale. Communication was superb, and their attention to detail in researching and pricing items was very helpful. Beyond pricing, they have a great eye for staging the house and making things looks appealing. Most every large item went during the sale, and the team also took care of cleaning up the house and donating/disposing of any remaining items. We can’t recommend John and Queen City Estate sales enough – what we thought would be a pain ended up being incredibly easy.

For the past year I have been attending estate sales throughout western New York. It does not take long to form an opinion of each company. Through them all, Queen City Estate Sales rises to the absolute top for attractive staging, fair pricing, attention to detail, and extraordinary customer service. My last encounter involved assisting a family member fill a house after moving back to Buffalo. Working with Queen City Estate Sales was really like a dream come true. We left with two van loads of furniture and household items that were clean, perfectly staged, priced fairly, and of solid quality. The workers were spectacularly helpful throughout the process with suggestions, negotiations, and physical assistance, even though they were in the midst of a very large sale. Queen City Estate Sales is NOT your average estate sales company. In fact, Queen City is exceptional. They went out of their way to insure a successful sale of my parent’s estate, taking into consideration what the most important factors were to US.Working tirelessly around the timetable we had in mind to complete the sale, the owner John, and his staff, went through and researched literally every item in the sale for value, authenticity and marketability. They personally consulted our family on anything of real value or uniqueness to see our intentions on keeping or selling. Everything that was presented in the sale was cleaned and staged (from the basement to the attic included!). From day one Queen City Estate Sales went above and beyond our expectations during this difficult time. Our mother passed away on 1/29/20. They were very helpful. They recommended a mover to move our mother’s belongings from her assisted living facility back to her house. They explained the process of preparing her house for the estate sale. Queen City Estate Sales cleans, organizes, prices, and stages the entire house leaving no item unturned, including the garage and outdoor shed. They prepared items for Good Will donations that normally don’t sell at the sale, and also dropped them off. They itemize every donation for tax deductions and give you all receipts. Queen City Estate Sales has connections and vast experience with art dealers, jewelers, and furniture companies. They gave free appraisals on jewelry, art, and furniture. The website that Queen City Estate Sales has is awesome! They took professional pictures and posted every item to be sold. (from small to large-toys, games, clothes, yarn, crafts, furniture, etc.) The actual sale was a big success! There were many people working and their payment system was perfect. They gave you all sales receipts with prices after. We didn’t know what to expect and we all made money! Gave us a check within a week. People were asking about buying the house and Queen City Estate Sales recommended realtors for the sale of the house if we needed. The house was cleaned by them and is totally empty now. They always asked if we needed help with anything! Queen City Estate Sales did a fantastic job and saved us so much work. Our family had a great experience and would recommend them to everyone! Very, very HAPPY!

Queen City Estate Sales is THE BEST estate service around. From my first contact with this company I knew I’d picked a winner. The owner is very well educated in estates and antiquities and incredibly helpful in determining valuables vs. donations. The job was priced incredibly fair, the price was same from beginning to end and the timeline was adhered to. There are no surprises or secrets. There were actually pieces we thought we should sell that we were advised to hold on to as the value only could increase over time. If you want to deal with a company that wants to see you profit from your estate, do not hesitate to call Queen City Estate Sales. There are so many companies out for THEIR best interests and not the customer. Trust doesn’t even begin to describe the foundation of this company. John Jacobs from Queen City Estate Sales was outstanding. I would highly recommend to anyone who has a house to clean out. We had an old house that had 100 years of stuff and John meticulously sorted through the garbage to find the diamonds in the rough!! In addition to holding the sale, he assisted in the removal of two lifetimes of garbage. He attended to every detail personally. It was the best possible experience.
