First place I gotta visit when I’m in Plattsburgh is Rambach! This bakery has all sorts of goodies to satisfy your sweet tooth! I’ve tried donuts, cookies, muffins and while they are good, my favorite is the tea cake! I find the tea cake has the perfect amount of sweetness, the cake is light and not very sweet, you get majority of the sweetness from the icing on top of the tea cake and it just pairs so perfectly. I do remember seeing a maple tea cake, not sure if it’s still available as it’s been quite some time since I visited. I’m hoping to visit very soon and grab a few tea cakes so I can freeze and enjoy for later! Yes, in case you’re wondering, tea cakes are fine to freeze! Tastes just as good as if it were fresh from the bakery!

I have loved Rambach’s since I was a child. Recently, I ordered a custom birthday cake with an edible image on it and they did a lovely job. My mother also just ordered a birthday cake for my grandmother today and the employee was extremely patient and helpful. Their tea cake, butter cookies, and magic bars are my favorites, but everything is delicious there. Thank you for always being wonderful!

Crazy google controls… you search for donuts and all you get is dunkin. I knew there was a local shop around somewhere despite google not listing it in searches. Come here for spectacular local and special donuts. Absolutely worth the drive and price. I so look forward to my periodic trips to Plattsburgh and these local donuts and friendly staff.
