Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueMr. Steen recently was a panel member for my termination from the State of Tennessee. He upheld my termination. My issue is he’s an attorney and doesn’t know basic ADA laws. I have a disability and requested a reasonable accommodation to return to work. I said that the entire hearing and his only reply was he hoped that I would find work elsewhere. I’m sure in law school they get the basics and ADA is core content for employment law. He ignored my rights and left me without a job in the middle of a pandemic with no health insurance. I had no disciplinary history and was a great employee I’ve seen employees get reinstated for much worse. I was disappointed to know he was a licensed attorney. Shameful. This is my reply to the owners reply: I never stated that Mr. Steen represented me I stated that he was a panel member and he voted to uphold my termination despite evidence that clearly showed I requested reasonable accommodations.
