If I could give a 0 star I would. This guy is a joke. He likes money up front but then won’t move your case forward. He won’t answer any phone calls, texts, or email. You can leave a voicemail but he won’t call you back. I would not recommend this guy. Go somewhere, anywhere else. He’s been brought on negligence charges multiple times by the NC state bar as well.

Mr. Spaugh emailed me on on 07/02/2020 and lied to me telling me my divorce would be granted on 07/17/2020. When I followed up on 08/01/2020 i was informed he had not even submitted paperwork to the court. As of yet he has sent over paper work for my ex to sign. Mr. Spaugh has avoided my calls, text and emails BUT he was quick to request, receive and deposit payment to his account. I believe when it came to payment that was the ONLY time he would respond in a timely manner. At this point I have requested refund and he has avoided that as well. Not sure what I regret more, attempting to use Mr. Spaugh or waiting too long to warn the public about him. He was referred by two family friends & truly wish we would’ve done more research on him. Sincerely feel as if he took our money, ran & took advantage of being our 1st lawyer. The lack of communication was horrific, His unprofessionalism in attempting to “represent” us in court was beyond embarrassing. Do your research & trust your gut when it comes to others representing your children & life. We lost almost $1,000 to have nothing accomplished from him. Please look elsewhere.
