Our story: My husband was employed by a municipality for over 26 years. He had an impeccable record of service. Not a blemish. In 2014 while on the job one day, he was in a very serious car accident – at no fault of his own. He sustained multiple serious injuries, and was put out on injured leave. Long story short, the municipality seized this opportunity to force my husband out of his job and then refused to pay for medical treatment/surgeries. If that were not bad enough, his “Union” members assisted in this malfeasance in order for each of them to move up in rank, and take his place in the line of promotions. He was left completely abandoned, no one to defend him or his job.
