My dad had surgery on his back in January and need rehab. We put him into a facility that was not for him then found Sands Point and they were great. The therapy dept. worked wonders on him, he come in not walking but with the therapy there he was able to talk walk around. The nurses and aides made him comfortable, helped him and tended to all his needs, they were great. Every day we greeted at the front desk by very pleasant women. We also worked with Stéphane from admitting and Heather from social services they were extremely helpful. I would truly recommend Sands Point to anyone. It was very comforting to know my dad was being taken care of properly.

Sands Point is an amazing facility with the most dedicated and invested staff I have ever had the privilege of working with. Some of the nurses and aides have been there upwards of 20-25 years! I was honored to be the administrator of this facility during the worse pandemic in the past 100 years and proud of the work we did during my tenure. A major shout out to Rayval, Pinky, Armante, Antar, Darryl, Maria, Morgan, Andrea, Ruthanne, Stuart and Trish!

Coming from home, I understood that I would have to make some adjustments to my new life. Fortunately, my situation was eased by some very special people, here at Sands Point. First and foremost is Stuart Goldberg, who has been more than giving and caring, he has become a friend to me. I can count on help for all sorts of help, which I am sure, goes beyond his job description. Andrew from therapy, is magnificent and has also become a friend. Alfreda and Patricia, from nursing, have been beyond capable and nurturing. When needed, they have been convincing, when I have been difficult and take care of all of my personal needs. My room and unit are neat and clean. The facility on a whole is cleaner than my house was. I have left out many other wonderful employees, but these are just a few, who stand out amongst the rest. I am grateful that I chose Sands Point Center for my permanent residence.

Sands Point Center is truly a home away from home. Everyone is so welcoming, from the valet who cares for your car, to Nancy or Matt who greet you cheerfully, and Rob and Stuart who know each and every resident and treat them all with dignity and respect, taking their personal stories into account.

Our mother just died as a result of complcations from a pressure wound resulting from neglect at SP. Appalled this facility is allowed to operate with inadequate staffing and poor administration. Our mother would be alive today had she not chosen this facility. DON’T EVER go near this place! If possible, I would give them 10 negative stars. She was left to sit in a wheelchair for 8-9 hours/day or just left in bed for days on end; she could not move herself. On numerous occasions, our mother had to call us so we can call the front desk to get someone to help her!!! Thank goodness she had a cell phone and wherewithal to use it! Today, for example, she called at 6:15pm because no one had changed her bed sore dressing all day! Drs orders are for it to be changed daily and for her to be turned every two hours. That’s a joke! Could go on and on Especially irritating to be on hold listening to their message about the great care they provide. Perhaps they used to provide good care, but not anymore. Can’t wait to get our mother out of there! Don’t send anyone you care about there. To add insult to injury, they told my mother she was ‘confused’ and sent her to the ER where they all agreed, she was in no way “confused.” Instead of improving their care, they just blame the patient and family. Disgraceful. Re: msg to call to discuss – already done that! Not only unresponsive, rude as well. They told us to take our mother out – that she wasn’t ‘captive’ – – but she was because of the pressure wound! She couldn’t go to assisted living where she would have had a good quality of life.

My Mom, a new resident, turned 104 on May 4, 2021. As visitation is limited by CDC covid restrictions, Mom’s grand- daughters and great-grand-daughters have not see her since her 103rd birthday. I asked Sands Point to please make special arrangements for the special occasion, and they did immediately and graciously. Additionally, the entire staff has kept in touch with us and has been very accommodating. Sands Point is very clean and beautiful.

I had the pleasure of working at Sands Point administering the Covid vaccination for the the staff and residents. The staff was very nurturing and exhibited great compassion for the residents. Everyone was friendly and caring and very respectful of their patients. I was happy to be a part of such a wonderful rehab facility and I really appreciate the great job they do in providing care and rehab needs for the community. Your family is in good hands!

My mom was recently at this facility after a bout with pneumonia. The nursing assistants here are awesome. She was somewhat fearful about coming to a nursing home but the caregivers here were so welcoming and made her feel so comfortable. She also didn’t have much of an appetite when she first got to the facility but she actually loved the food!! I would highly recommend this place if you want a friendly and caring place for your loved one.

Caring team of thorough professionals making every step more pleasant. Having a loved one stay at a center is a difficult process. We have tried 3 facilities for my father. He is an easy going person but has his health issues. Each time we ran into major problems, until we found the Sand Point Center for Health & Rehabilitation. A noticeable difference from day one. Everyone from admissions, nutrition, speech, nursing, wound care, physical therapy and many other departments take a thorough approach in getting to know the patient and making sure their family stays in the loop and is comfortable with the process. My father has stayed at Sands Point Center twice thus far. Speaking to him, he absolutely loves the staff, the facility and service they provide. They are strict on COVID guidelines, which we feel is especially important for our elderly father. BIG thank you to Sands Point Center for making this process a bit less difficult and being a difference maker in my father’s care.
