Writing a review of my attorney Kelly Schaffrer is no easy task because I want to ensure that it truly captures how amazing she is at what she does and how grateful I am for her service. I was in a horrible situation that was going to (and did) bring a very challenging divorce situation. Kelly was amazing every step of the very long long way. She drilled into every detail of my case. Studied case law that would pertain to my situation. Found things the other side (& me) never noticed. The declarations she would write on my behalf were beyond impressive. She was also a sense of calm for me in my very stormy situation. She always gave me hope and was so compassionate. We had a lot of court dates. She was a master during litigation! There was no comparison. We would sit in court waiting our turn. I’d watch the other attorneys and all I could think was how lucky I felt that I had Kelly because the others looked so unprepared compared to her. When I hear stories from friends about their divorce attorney experience, I once again, think wow, I am so lucky I had Kelly. Her level of preparation from start to finish was amazing. My case went on long after we settled yet she continues to never lose steam. If you are in need of a divorice attorney, look no further. She is the best. Kelly is a horrid attorney and can’t think on her own. She talks a big talk on the phone but is a tiny scared kitten. I hired her to help my brother with dementia get a divorce. I paid her the retainer fee and she sent an itemized invoice weekly and kept asking for money. She didn’t do a thing she promised. My probate attorney (as guardian for my brother) seemed to be her boss. No critical thinking and what he said went. I wanted to settle and end the divorce but she wouldn’t do a thing without the probate attorneys orders which is odd because if she knew the law, the probate attorney is NOT my the boss of my brothers well being. The attorneys kept saying no judge would allow him to pay off the ex out of his disability funds. Turns out, the judge could care less if he is broke. Turns out, I got a real attorney that could think on her own and did what was in the best interest of the poor man with dementia instead of a probate attorney trying to protect his client, me. And a divorce attorney just wanting to collect long term. All she wanted was money and she cowardly dropped me as a client for stating that it should be illegal for people to take money for years on end from a man with dementia. And it should be but if you want a real attorney Try Paddish law. Run for the hills from this place!
