My mom was named First Trustee and Executor but Mr. Awerkamp would only speak to the second trustee, my aunt. My aunt does not abide by the written wishes of my grandmother and won’t acknowledge my mother. Shes never spoken to him, so theres no reason he would dislike her. Finally, because my grandmother died on December 20th, the lawyer would not even meet with my aunt (not my mom) until January 4th! Unprofessional, not abiding by will. This firm has very intelligent attorneys. It is a highly respected firm with a great reputation. I worked with Derek Williams in a medical malpractice case. He was the opposing counsel defending the doctors. His knowledge of medical malpractice defense is better than any attorney I have ever come across.
