They only deal with certain situations and don’t represent you in court. They are very busy. They don’t hold your hand. They give you advice and some things they can write up or make calls. They advise you of the law. I have had them write a letter to a creditor. I wanted to pay off a bill online and she wrote something I could send to make sure it was closed and not sold. They are very helpful but I failed in my child support case with advise from them.. I wish I had been more knowledgeable prior to the hearing.. make sure you ask the right questions to these guys so you get enough information.

The application process here is difficult, you can call in during specific times but rarely if ever get through to anyone. After a certain amount of rings you’re told to leave a message somebody will call you back. occasionally someone may answer but they tell you there’s no answering system and they don’t know what you’re talking about as far as leaving a message for a call back. They’ll let you know you need to try to call back another time because they “see other people getting registered” and they can’t transfer you or address why there are so many inconsistencies. You can most certainly apply online and somebody will reach out to you that’s how I was finally able to get through to someone who cared enough to do their job for actual intake but now I’m absolutely heartbroken and disappointed to hear there ” aren’t funds or resources to assist ” me for a family law case. After spending months attempting to contact them and figuring out how to apply I was given numbers to where I can reach out for other resources but I feel like I’ve wasted an extremely large amount of precious time hoping that someone here would care enough to speak to me and help me. I’ve already done most of the work and literally just need a little help. The disappointment is compounding. I’m inclined to believe the folks who say that they don’t really do work and don’t really represent you because if they don’t have the resources to assist me clearly they don’t have the resources to assist the people saying as much too.

I had called legal aid over 5 days ago. I had left a message with my information and still haven’t received a call. I thought of calling again but I know if you leave multiple messages, it will delay a callback.

I called on 7/5/22 & left name and number for a call back per the recording no call back, called again at 4 pm to see what was going on office recording says closed called again on 7/6/22 said wait time was 15 minutes & 3 people ahead of me. I stayed on line and was disconnected at 14 minutes and recording before disconnect says call again later. They are not here to help anyone in need.

These guys want you to fill out for help online, but if you have a question and want to talk to someone, don’t call, unless you want to leave a message, and hopefully someone will call you back. I have called them twice in the past two days, hoping someone in the operator position or an attorney would actually answer the phone, nope, so & so, isn’t available, please leave a message. We all know Covid affected a lot of things, but the number of cases are dropping and vaccine numbers have gone up, please decide to go back to work, and work regular office hours.
