The spolin firm to be honest, are great at doing case reviews. The reviews are indepth, and the over all break down for the things they can and can not do once the case review is completed, is comprehensive. Contacting someone is hard, but understandable. It would be helpful to both the clients, and the staff working at the firm, if there was a legal dash board created. For example, When a potential client becomes an actual client, they then would get a legal dashboard pin number to track the status of their case, given the staff more time to focus on other important things within the firm. Over all I give them a thumbs up. We are currently waiting on the outcome for a AB2942 application which was excellent work put into it… we feel it’s a very strong application.

We were charged for services that are not even being considered then after a year of my Fiancés commutation paperwork being submitted we were told their work was done, we got what we paid for. That is true we did get robbed however being charged for 1170D for Orange County and Orange County does not grant 1170D. Also they dropped the ball for 5 months after they collected payment they did not submit his paperwork stating that he had needed to sign some paperwork but I double checked that Hemi had all that was needed and she reassured me over and over the paperwork was being submitted right away. Only to be told 5 months later they needed a signature from my Fiancé. We were then discarded because I requested more check ins on the Commutation paperwork instead of once every 5 to 6 months with me making the request. They told us we got what we were billed for. I feel so sad that they do not realize this is so so important. We hire them and they reassure this will work we turn over our money and they are so laxed from then on. Billed for services that were not an option and not turning in paperwork, made this already stressful time even more stressful. We need better options for certain as this is our loved ones freedom. This is not acceptable at all. I am requesting a refund and will go the Califoenia Bar Association next if I am not refunded fully.

We believed that he qualified for SB 775 and after reading everything on their web site we felt that this firm was most up to date with this new bill. After having them do a case review and seeing the level of effort and detail they put in our family was very impressed. After talking about it over the holidays we will be hiring this firm to help with SB 775 as his case review showed that was the most promising way forward for him. They seem to just care for their payment and not the actual person or outcome. I understand petitions don’t always get granted but they are selling false hope on top of mistakes. I had to find out my husbands petition outcome through an online article. Also, it was very hard for me to reach them. Of course when payment was due they called me “after hours.” To top it all off when we decided to part ways with them and awaiting on my husbands transcripts…they sent him boxes of somebody else case. Don’t waste your money and really do your research. They also had another staff member call by proxy to give us this news, rather than having the case manager involved call us directly. This brings up the question: if you can’t handle a little heat, how in the world are you going to be fighters in Court?
