I am just starting out on everything, but today was my consultation and I was so nervous. By the end of the call, I felt so relieved. Mr. Stein gave me some hope for my kids. Lawyer filed a MTW hearing for my boyfriend missing 1 monthly court date out of 1 year of showing up every time. The day before said hearing, I found out my bf was in jail in another county. I called and message the lawyer to inform him, and he failed to respond to me in any way. He went ahead with the MTW, while technically still under our retainer, without response or action to help his client. He was still under retainer all the way up to the moment the judge signed the MTW.

We went to court and he ended up doing a back room deal with the other attorney while he told me to sit outside the court room. He signed paperwork stating that both parties had agreed on visitation in which I could only see my daughter twice a month for 2 hours supervised. I did not agree to this. After they signed the document he snuck out the back door of the court house and didn’t tell me what had happened. I sat outside the court room waiting on my lawyer who never showed up. I paid a retainer of $500 and been calling him for weeks and he wont return my phone call. He took my money and my time with my daughter and now just avoids my calls, what a guy.

To start with this “lawyer” told me he deals with child custody cases and we later found out he is a BANKRUPTCY lawyer. Then we were told our case would be settled in five weeks, fast forward almost two years and we are still fighting to complete the case. The first time we went to court his secretary didn’t file any of our paperwork so the case was continued until March. So you would think when we went in March the least that would be done was the evidence filed right? Wrong we go into court AGAIN and the paperwork was still not filed. Taylor stood for about five minutes with a blank face confused when they judge informed him of this. He didn’t know my child’s name, my name, or anyone in my family. He interrogated me on the stand instead of the other party, and asked me atleast ten times the ages of my kids. So of course the case was lost and we were told to call back and they will handle the case. We have been calling for months and can not get Taylor or his secretary on the phone. if you want a lawyer that will do half of a job for you or less even this is the office to choose.

He never remembers who you are or anything about your case. Doesn’t put ANY effort in while in the courtroom. Also they never return your calls when they say they will “call you right back”, that’s if you can get them to answer.
