I can appreciate they do good work for others, but I was sorely displeased with whomever I spoke to out of the Florida site. I was going through the security clearance process for the first time and was worried about some of my history. I was hoping for guidance about how to accurately disclose my information to give me the best chances. Once he heard what my concerns were for, he spoke down to me, labelled me in stereotype, judged me and shamed me, made negative assumptions about the severity of the issue (expanded from my reporting of the concern with no rhyme or reason except for presumably his intense prejudice), and told me to just give up on the job and wait a year to try again. And I was told that I couldn’t even get a consultation before paying a $185 fee. Which I paid.

I received a Statement of Reason (SOR) preliminary denial of clearance from the DOD-CAF for “Foreign Contacts” for a Facebook Friend who was from another country. I retained the Edmund’s Law firm to represent me because of their extensive depth and history with U.S. Government clearance issues and they lived up to their sterling reputation in every way. The team from Edmunds, led by attorney Mark A. Myers, leaped into action immediately. They asked for very specific documentation to provide evidence to the comprehensive response they crafted for the SOR. Just as critical, they interviewed me extensively about the history of the issue, all the while explaining to me in great detail the reasons for the tactics & overall strategy of creating a successful response to the SOR. Whenever I had questions or concerns about our response, attorney Myers would take the time to clearly explain what and why (or why not) we were taking a given a specific direction in crafting the response.
