Used this firm to assist with a custody modification in what should’ve been a slam dunk case that could’ve been handled with a single hearing. The firm then proceeded to stretch the case out across multiple needless additional court visits over the course of a year for the sole purpose of racking up billable hours and “negotiating” with the other party and their attorney along the way, all while keeping the case away from the judge and out of a hearing because it would’ve easily and mercifully have ended should that happen. We began to suspect the attorney was mishandling our case and got to the point we felt continuing to use him was actively sabotaging our chances at the proper outcome. In effort to protect ourselves, we later had our case reviewed by another attorney who explicitly told us based on this firm’s handling of our case, that’s exactly what was happening.

My case overall resolved to where i needed it to be for custody of my daughter but in between court dates it was nearly impossible to get them to answer the phone and explain to me what was going to happen at court and seemed to never get a call back when promised. The first meeting I was told they could finalize a restraining order for my daughter and i within 24 hours which took almost a week. During that week i was not able to take my daughter to daycare due to not having legal protection which didn’t seem to speed anything up for them to follow through with their promise. A week before the final court date i had finally gotten a hold of someone with the office to discuss finances. I asked specifically if the upcoming court date would be any additional charge to what i have already paid. They responded by saying no i have already paid for it. A month after the hearing i received a 550$ bill for services that were not discussed with me. The final court hearing consisted of my baby daddy and i agreeing and all Genevieve did was sit there and wait for our papers to be typed up correctly and signed by a judge which took 2 hours so i was then charged 550$ for her time when if known ahead of time it would have cost that much I would not have had any lawyer. I will definitely be recommending to any family friends or even enemies to NOT EVER USE THEM! After the first meeting when they got their money they just put you on a back burner and show up at court with no discussion in between. To finalize i called and spoke with a receptionist about my charges to discuss why i was still being charged when i was told it was already included with what had already been paid and they still had no answers other than they have to charge for their lawyers time. I expressed that i would not be paying for this since i felt cheated through misguided expectations. When coming on here to write a review my account was blocked which is probably the only reason they have 4.5 stars because anyone expressing dislike is most likely blocked from expressing their experience with this money hungry firm.
