He was very kind and personable, taking the time to get to know us and our situation. He did not suggest preparing any unnecessary or additional documents right away, but advised what steps would be prudent at the right time as the circumstances call for it. I had a couple of basic legal questions and had been referred to another attorney. I called them, left a message and never heard back. I called Doug and instead of voicemail or an assistant…I got Doug. I explained my questions, he answered them and gave me a straight forward path to resolve my situation. I offered to pay him for his time and he refused. I can tell you this, when or if I ever have a more complex legal situation I will definitely call him first. Great guy and even offered some follow up contacts for my situation. If you think a “free consultation” is not free, I can tell you in my experience with Doug it is.
