Neubia is smart BUT, she is very very overwhelmingly busy and you will not have much of her attention on your case. I felt as though she had taken on more than she could handle, and was moving too quickly to the point where, she actually emailed me another clients information/document, which made me wonder if she’d done the same with mine. I asked too many questions for her, so she actually dropped my case prior to filling in the courts and now I risk loosing my apartment! I have bipolar disorder and she does not have the patience or empathy needed to work with people such as myself, so she opted to cancel my contract, keep the bulk of my money (after only 3.5 weeks), not explain why she cancelled the contract, nor refer me to another attorney. EXTREMELY unprofessional. I would NEVER recommend anyone to her because she may drop your case right in the middle of it and leave you hanging, like strange fruit! What kind of person, nevertheless a lawyer, would do that to someone with a disability. A heartless person, that’s who.

l reached out to Neubia Harris regarding a discrimination case. She was very eager to assist me with it although a little different than cases she usually takes on. She kept me posted with regards to conversations and scheduled meetings with opposing counsel. At some point into the case, that enthusiasm left and I started feeling as though she wasn’t trying to fight for the most favorable outcome for me. Things started getting weirder,I would call the office and numerous times my calls were blocked.i let her know this and she told me it must be my carrier issues, when I called them they said it was the business or individual whom blocked me.Neubia told me that if this case would go to court that she would not solicit any witnesses for me.A case that would be upward of 20k.I let her know that it was in the best interest of my case to continue with another attorney. By this point ,I had gone through most of my retainer. Some time later,I called her office to get notes (only) she had collected on my case .She made the comment that she couldn’t help me and I needed to go to the NAACP, a very unnecessary comment.

I have retained Ms. Harris service since 2020. Ms. Harris has been a champion of my kids and their disabilities with the school system. When my children educational needs have not been met, I call Ms. Harris. Ms. Harris has walked me through each service that was given or in my case not. Frustrating as it may be to have an IEP meeting over and over, Ms. Harris is there when I have asked. Ms. Harris listens and interjects when she needs. Ms. Harris is patient an understanding. I am happy that she is on my team an I would recommend her to anyone who needs direction or understanding within the school system. Ms. Harris helps all no matter where they are in life. Our children are her priority and I appreciate the time she has with our family.

Critical: Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI was looking for an attorney in a panic to handle a title IX case. I wouldn’t be informed for days at a time what was to come next and in numerous proceedings, she was asked by school staff not to speak but she was still being paid. The situation was not resolved and I eventually decided that her services were no longer needed. If you ever have a title IX issue, please hire a title IX attorney instead of an education lawyer because their scope is limited. Also, reach out to the Department of Education and see what they can do for you. The situation is closer to a resolution after several months and $1500+ wasted!I was looking for an attorney in a panic to handle a title IX case.
