I am so grateful that Douglas Warlick & Associates handled my difficult divorce. The process took two years to complete because opposing sides would not comply. I am not the type of person who constantly goes to court so I felt out of sorts but Doug was informative and professional. He always arrived to court prepared and ready to fight for me. He would keep me informed about our next step. He would thoroughly explain how the judge could provide different outcomes. During the trial, Doug was confident, precise, and aggressive. He covered every aspect of my divorce with supporting documents. He did not allow anything to get past him in the court room. I appreciate his warm and caring demeanor but make no mistake he will fight for you like a pit bull in court. He will not back down and will defend his client with fervency. When I met Doug, I was in a very bad place with my case. He was calm, and listened to my plight with interest and understanding. When I retained him, I had no idea how amazing he would be for my case.I had already been told he was “The Best” by many other colleagues, and another attorney from Chicago that I met through a friend. He has since proven that above and beyond. Doug is diligent, and thorough, he looks at every angle, and has knowledge of the patience needed for these cases. With that knowledge, he helped me to remain calm, and stay strong. Without going into the devastating details of my case, I will say this… I am a domestic violence victim/survivor, trying to keep my young son safe. Doug has done everything in his power to ensure his safety and to fight for my rights. He genuinely cares about his clients. He invests himself into the cases he works on, and does everything he can to succeed for them. Doug is not just an attorney out for the payments we make, he is a fighter for justice. Simply put, I admire him. He is a family man, he is a father, and he is a confidant. He adores his beautiful wife, and he has integrity. I hope my son can have even a small portion of his qualities when he gets older. If he does, I will know I have done my job right. Poor preparation and Zero Execution. I find it hysterical to see the reviews on here from people that are with OVC Lawyer Marketing (Amanda I saw your other BS review on Yelp!). Do NOT believe those glowing reviews folks. Notice that they have absolutely NO details in their review. Corporate Shills hired to line Warlick’s pockets. Didn’t you get enough $$ from me Doug? Doug Warlick was absolutely useless in my divorce. He had no clue as to what was going on in court every time I met him there. He claimed to know the judge on a personal level but every time we went to court the judge ruled the opposite of what Doug was trying to do. He had no idea about the facts of my case when it was finally presented to the judge. And as soon as my funds were running low he asked the court to excuse him from being my attorney. He bills himself as having “Experience with Integrity”. Integrity?? We think not. I have never posted any reviews but Doug did such a terrible job that I felt responsible to warn others: Do NOT hire this guy as your lawyer.

When my Son asked to come live with me NO ONE gave this out of state Dad a chance to win custody. Doug even rightly warned me that the odds of success were low. When we agreed on the plan and I paid him the retainer he went to work. One year later my son came to live with me. This after we won hands down. Doug worked everything he could to our advantage, while my ex’s attorney (who costs more) went about checking boxes to prove he earned his fee. At the end, the retainer had a balance and he sent it to me within a week. I tore up the check and told him to keep it. Miracle workers deserve a bonus in my book. I can’t guarantee any outcome you will have, but Doug is alright in my book.
