I contracted with Ms Beyers shortly after my ex-wife passed and needed assistance in getting custody of my two minor children. Sadly she was the first attorney I reached out to and was desperate to find someone as soon as possible to help me. She explained I needed to act quickly and file a petition for guardianship with notification to my ex-wife’s family. She was complicating the course more than it needed to be and spent weeks trying to get the paperwork correct for her petition. I fired her after realizing that she was incompetent and was jeopardizing my case. The law was simple. When there is shared custody of children and one parent passes the other automatically gets custody. All I needed was a court order stating this. If I had not fired her and she proceeded with her case it would complicated matters and I would have spent months if not over a year in court fighting for custody of my kids from their neglectful grandparents. As I said I fired her 2 weeks after waiting for her petition to be corrected. Nothing she prepared was useful and she never filed anything with the court. Nonetheless I was out my $5000 retainer. Must be nice to get paid so well with nothing in return. I would definitely stay away from her. At best you don’t get what you pay for and at worst she can complicate your case to ruin.

Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueIt’s been over a year I filed for a divorce through Teresa Beyers and up till now is to no avail.She keep lying to me about the situation, does not pick up calls or return back calls unless you persuade. Its either she don’t know what she is doing, or she is doing it on purpose as per craft. It is really annoying and a disgrace to the rest of good lawyers out there. I have equally notified her via email to resolve the issue amicably otherwise I will be filing an official complaint with the California State bar. I used this office to help me with my divorce. This was a long, difficult divorce and Mrs. Beyers was my 2nd attorney. I had a bad experience with my first attorney who did not call me back and did not work on my case as expected and lacked the knowledge and experience of Mrs. Beyers. Mrs. Beyers always returned my phone calls and email messages promptly and seemed to always be working on my case. When it was finally over I was happy with the outcome.
