During my initial consult, Laura was up front about the challenges I would likely face, which were considerable. She also gave me her best estimate as to what I could reasonably expect to recover in the event we prevailed. Laura and her associate Evan filed complaints and represented me in meetings with the National Labor Relations Board, which ultimately found in my favor. I was able to secure a settlement that I felt good about and that was roughly the amount Laura had forecast a year earlier. Laura delivered on what she told me she would do (while not making promises about things beyond her ability to control), and I felt good about my decision to hire her firm and about the quality of their representation. Losing my job was a difficult and traumatizing experience, and I was not in the right frame of mind to make good decisions about how to respond.
