I am a defendant in a Landlord/Tenant eviction case. My landlord failed to maintain his property and brought an eviction case to court without a lawyer. He was informed by the judge to have a lawyer the next time we appeared. He hired Mr. Max Smelyansky as located on 602 Central Ave. Suite 102 Albany NY. Mr. Max Smelyansky confirmed on or about the 15th of Feb. that he would be attending court on the 22nd of Feb. I as the tenant had to endure at least 75 minutes of sitting with a healing broken ankle when the case was called. The attorney Mr. Max Smelyansky nor his client appeared in court. I am confused as to his great ratings on his personal website as this lawyer seems to waste tenants and courts time with his inability to show up for a scheduled court date after his confirmation.
