When I asked for his new contact information, the lady answering the call, who I believe was Mr. Witmeyer’s wife, pressured me into having a consultation with their son. Although I read other reviews, I reluctantly attended the consultation and I still regret it. The son didn’t have anything to say and I felt as though Mr. Witmeyer was pressuring me into signing a retainer agreement and paying a fee. He even tried to have me pay for a Will at my initial consultation. I believe they are just out for money. When I asked for his new contact information, the lady answering the call, who I believe was Mr. Witmeyer’s wife, pressured me into having a consultation with their son. Lazy, unprofessional, arrogant, vague. Every meeting with Wes cost me hundreds, every email cost me hundreds, yet I was constantly repeating myself and rehashing old situations. Asking questions doesn’t mean you’ll get any answers. And all of it comes with a ton of pressure. Always wanted me to just agree with whatever he said over the phone on the spot. I felt like he just wanted it over with. It was obvious he could care less what happened to me. Just get it done. Always made me feel guilty for questioning anything. I fired him and reached an agreement with my ex’s attorney on my own. Stay clear of this law firm.

wish I had read the advice of everyone before I hired Wes!! He was a jerk the whole time, lazy and charged me so much for the simplest things and sometimes even his or his secretarys typos and mistakes that I am $2000 in debt with him. I signed a $1500 retainer and he charged me $2000 more after the case was done. $600 just for going to court to sit there! He pushed me to settle after I handed him so many arguments. I felt like he was against me the whole time and the worse part was HE DIDNT FIGHT FOR ME! ISNT THAT WHAT HE IS GETTING PAID FOR? I am so unhappy with my custody arrangement (still after court was over in November) but I am scarred from hiring him I don’t want to ever hire another lawyer again! He made sure to take me right to court for the $2000 too. Of course I went to his Fredericksburg office but he made sure to file it in Hanover over an HR away from me! Long story short I was late and he won..I am sure he will try and get my little $200 server checks too that I bust my ass for because I have to to support my kids because the father doesn’t pay any type of support but that wasn’t a concern for Wes as long as he got paid. Court was in and out because he wrote up the most simple agreement. I would have fired him but I hired him late and was so scared I would get a worse deal than what he was writing up but looking back so much was wrong and I plan on taking it back to be fixed. But thanks Wes Witmeyer for making my life even worse after you drained my family of 3 grand hope you and your family sleep great at night!

I only give it 1 star because you can’t give them -100000 stars. Carl is about as arrogant and condescending as you can be, don’t mistake his arrogance for anything else– he’s a total jerk and is very condescending to women. Wes is LAZY!!!! if you hire him, expect him not to give a crap about your case (hello, 10 days after I hire you, you don’t contact me? really?), and he will make it obvious he couldn’t give a crap about your case…. he charged me $350 for 2 hours on a PSA, that HAD MATERIAL mistakes,… I get it, I’m a woman– he didn’t think a woman would have an individual investment account, and listed it as “joint”— all because I’m a woman??? I work in finance! …wow… just realize this is who you’re hiring… Why do I have to pay hundreds of dollars for you to introduce yourself to my husband? Really? 3 sentences = $100? that’s the kind of BS I don’t think any consumer should support. I’m fine paying for legitimate work, and understand it’s a profession, but this is crazy!!!
