I am a neurologist . I Hired Heather Youngman from TR law firm for my divorce. Initially she worked on settlement and sent me couple of wrong bills that I had to spend lot of time to have her fix them. Then she had a family issue and requested me to have her colleague Thomas Murphy to represent me in my trial court. I agreed to only one time substitute. Murphy had no idea what he was doing and he sign a custody settlement provided to him by my husband’s attorney without confirming with me. In addition , after 3-4 hours of trial Thomas Murphy informed me that I have to pay more toward my retainer ( that I just paid 3500 to) to address my concerns. I was not agreeable to what he signed and after that I called and sent messages to Heather to have her return to my case.Heather constantly said it doesn’t make sense for her to continue working on my case and found her way to screw me. TR send so many bills with double charges and wrong charges then I tried to reach out to Mr Kuhn ( TR manager) to address wrong bills. He wrote an email to me and said charges are right.

When I spoke with Heather Youngman over a year ago I knew this process was not going to be easy but at the very least less overwhelming and boy was I wrong. They were quick to get my money and slow to ever return any messages of any sorts. I feel like this process was dragged out and I was squeezed of my whole retainer plus. I would email Heather and it would take weeks for her to respond. When I did get responses it was she was sorry but she had family emergencies or she was too busy with other clients to respond to me. While I understand you do have other clients I also am a paying client and deserve to be responded to in a timely fashion. There were countless mistakes made on paperwork being sent to me, information missing. So of course I got charged for having to tell someone to fix their errors that they made. I went to sign paperwork towards the end and they had my name and a completely different defendants name on the paperwork. Sad to say I honestly wasn’t even shocked. Had I known then what I know now I most certainly would never have signed on with this law firm. Seems like they take on more than they can accommodate and the clients suffer. I just saw a review from 2 months ago and it was shocking to see that I wasn’t a one off and she was treated the same way I was. Overcharged for mistakes they made and underwhelmed with customer service. If anyone is looking for an attentive lawyer who is going to help you, this place isn’t it!!!!!

This law firm and the lawyers are awful, they suffer from ego, and they will try to talk you to death in order to rack up billable hours for more money. Steer clear of the “Merit Assessment” for EEO cases, and ‘always’ pay by credit card so you can dispute payments against the business, if you unfortunately need to. They are deliberately deceptive prompting themselves as an aggressive “veteran business”. In actuality, they are lazy, will want you to do their work that you already paid for, disorganized, and they operate with indifference with the individuals they work for/with. Horrible, horrible, distasteful, and gross.
