First I tried calling but no one would call me back then I went to the office in Suffolk only to be referred back to calling the number that I could never get ahold of anyone. Finally after calling every day for a month I got a hold of someone just for them to tell me Suffolk’s case load is too large and couldn’t help me with my legal issue but they will get in touch if someone is willing to do it pro bono as we all know no one ever got back in touch with me from there… This place is a joke.

Called the Legal Aid Society and there was a longer than normal wait time. I love they have the option to leave your name and number for a call back. Yes they actually called me back within the hour. The Assistant was pleasant and well versed. Would call again if I needed help with legal questions.

Legal assistance with civil legal problems is available here. There is a screening process as assistance is needs based and there are income limits. They do not take walk in clients so it is important to call and be screened for eligibility before visiting the office.
