Critical: Professionalism, Quality, Responsiveness, ValueI had a child support case and he totally bombed it from the beginning! All the leg work was done for him I just needed a lawyer present to have a voice in the court room! I had To file my own motions, I had to take pick them up for him to sign and turn them in for myself. He did nothing but hear my pain and ask for money. He did no due diligence and gave me terrible information but still wanted money! He did not fight for me or my child and allowed the other lawyer to take over with her stories and no proof! He even told me that I had no court date and the outcome of that was I was held in default for not showing. And do you think he confessed to that in court. No!!! Do not give this man your money or your time! It is NOT WORTH IT! He should be disbarred. He did not do anything I asked of him and even had some help from another professional and still did not listen. He just wants money he does not care about clients. Jimmy Washington misled me from day 1. He led me to believe that he was taking care of business when it came to my case. He came to see me all the time when I was in the county jail and he convinced me to retain this private investigator that he said he worked closely with for years. So after the private investigator was hired, both started coming to see me all the time but they would always ask me the same things over and over, I thought Jimmy Washington was just trying to be thorough. Jimmy Washington did not tell me until the day that my trial started that his private investigator was not going to testify in my trial. That was the whole point of retaining the private investigator. Jimmy Washington told me that he would be able to get phone records for me that would have set me free. The day my trial started was the day he told me that he could not get the phone records. He didn’t even know the difference between a Plea Agreement and a Cobb’s Agreement. I should have fired Jimmy Washington because now that I sit here in prison I realize that Jimmy Washington is the definition of Ineffective Assistance of Counsel! I would not recommend him to anyone, save yourself the trouble and hassle. Jimmy Washington had 9 months to prepare for my trial and when my trial started he was nowhere near prepared. He felt that he should let me know that he wasn’t prepared the day my trial started. I also found out that he doesn’t even practice criminal law but that is not what he told me. When my trial started I clearly saw that he could not match wit with the prosecutor, Jimmy Washington looked scared so of course that had me scared because my freedom was on the line.

This man railroaded my family, he is a money hungry crook. This man took every dime my family had and gave us the worst experience ever. I do not know how he’s even able to practice law. Please avoid this guy at all cost!! He’s strickly for the judicial system, he cares nothing about proving your loved ones innocents, he will view your family as a dollar sign the same way he did mines. AVOID THIS LAWYERS SEVICES, SAVE YOUR FAMILY THE HEADACHE!!

This man took advantage of me and my family. We scraped up everything we had to get an attorney so that he could help us prove his innocence! He in turned put no real effort toward our case and he got my cousin a longer sentence with little possibility of parole. He told us he would do everything in his power to help us but he looked at my cousin as an inmate number and a dollar sign. Not a man who loves and provide for his family.
