My mom passed away, then a thief broke in and started squatting in my moms home. He also then started renting to someone else in my mom’s home. the cops were absolutely no help. they actually acted like he had more rights than i did. it was the worst situation to have to deal with after my loss of my mom. I had another lawyer, who did absolutely nothing for a year. Meryl came in and got both of them out in literally a month. She told me that she was going to get them out and honestly when she told me, I was not sure it would really happen (since the other lawyer did nothing for a year). Meryl absolutely DOES NOT PLAY, and she is super knowledgeable about what she does. Worst lawyer ever, a thief I’ll say. Creating fake invoices is Meryl Wenig/her goal to steal from her clients without doing any work and sometimes double billing. Stay away from this firm, find some reputable lawyer out there, because this one is not. Will throw you under the bus and will harass you to get paid, before doing any work.

I had a tenant from hell, that she cornered with multiple lawsuits, and they got him out in a matter of months. She is probably the most knowledgeable L&T attorney in New York. Nothing short of amazing. To make a long story short, Meryl and her firm saved my home! After dealing with foreclosures for over a decade, many dead ends in the legal system and having no idea how to solve the situation I consulted Ms. Wenig’s to find a way out of the rock and a hard place I was in. Hired Meryl to assist with my closing. Was never informed that someone else would be representing me instead of her. After paid her, all over sudden she completely handed over my case to one of her employees. At the end, they lost case for me and not only did I have to pay her, had to pay for the loses too. It gets better! Few years later, received notification that owe Meryl more money even though paid rider in full and as per her own rider, no work would be done if there is balance. She made up fees that owe her and why would she do any work if owed her $. Instead of sending bills (since obviously there was no real services provided that she could bill for), they filed a lawsuit against me for the made up balance! What a shame that trusted her to represent me and extremely disappointed that not only did she lose the case but is also so unprofessional that instead of worrying about how to win cases, since obviously she can’t do that, she sued her clients for made up fees. Guess can’t get new clients so that’s her new way of making $
