Attempted to retain this firm on a foreclosure defense case but was disappointed in their approach. Troy Doucet proposed a class action lawsuit to address the foreclosing lender’s breach of contract issues but the video conference he arranged revealed that this case would likely take 1.5 to 3 years in litigation, and as lead plaintiff, the Defendant would possibly win $1K to $5K for their involvement, a mere pittance considering the property costs $5K in annual ownership expenses (real estate taxes, management expense, etc) and in the meantime the Defendant’s credit is being ruined worse every month for non-payment of the mortgage loan. Alternatively, if the class action suit was not desired, his retainer fee per his contract, stipulating $1000/month to him regardless of any activity on the case, plus a lump sum in advance of $6000 if case goes to trial, could therefore cost the Defendant $42,000 in legal fees on a property having a market value of $25,000, with no assurance of winning the case. Very expensive attorney! Lots of questionable, faceless (possibly fake?) 5-star client reviews out there, and the former employee reviews on a well-known website indicate unusual turnover and management issues within the firm. Be sure to read his contract before you hire him. Not the credibility I was looking for.

I have been very pleased with the hard work done for me by this firm. Tim Cook has been very helpful keeping me posted as to how things are progressing. I have never needed an attorney for dealing with a mess caused by hiring an incompetent contractor, after dealing with hiring several contractors for over 30 years. Unfortunately the Attorney General’s Office chose to turn their back on helping me. I have had to deal with a mess I never thought I would be in. Tim has on more than one occasion helped calm my concerns about matters. The best advice he gave me was to write down every detail about the mater as soon as I first talked with him. I believe he has done an excellent job getting things ready for review by the judge and trial, if it has to come to that.
